Why is such a good tea called YaShiXiang (Duck Shit Aroma)?
There was a tea farmer at that time who imported large oolong leaves single clump species from the Wu Dong Mountain and planted them in the "duck shit soil" (yellow soil) of the tea garden. When local people tasted this tea, they praised it and asked what kind of tea tree it was and what type of fragrance it had. The tea farmer was worried that someone would steal his tree, so he falsely claimed it by calling it "duck shit aroma". That's where the term "duck shit aroma" comes from.Brewing method
